Three members of ESU's women's rugby club team have been named to National Collegiate Rugby's 2022 All-American list

A total of 1,257 students have been named to the Dean's List at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) for the Fall 2022 semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, according to Margaret Ball D.M.A., interim provost and vice president for academic affairs. Students eligible for the Dean's List are those who have attained a 3.50 quality point average or better and are enrolled full-time. The letter grade "B" earns 3 quality points per credit, and the grade "A" earns 4 quality points per credit.

As part of a political science course offered over winter break, four ESU students, accompanied by L. Johan Eliasson, Ph.D., professor of political science, participated in the International European Union Simulation in Newport, Wales.

Before the close of the spring 2022 semester, ESU Student Government Association held elections for the cabinet positions of the organization. n April 28, during their last meeting of the semester, the new officers were sworn in. They will represent the ESU student body during the 2022-2023 academic year.

A total of 1,021 students received degrees from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania at a commencement ceremony on May 8 at Eiler-Martin Stadium. A total of 800 bachelor's degrees, 214 master's degrees and seven doctoral degrees were awarded. Fall 2021 Graduates, whose degrees were conferred in December, were invited to participate in the ceremony.

Graduating seniors Shade Stokes-Campbell and Magdelynn Wigoda have spent their years at East Stroudsburg University with a desire to lead and serve others. Stokes-Campbell, a public health major from Philadelphia, Pa., was awarded the University Service Award for the 2021-22 academic year. Wigoda, a communication sciences and disorder major from Minersville, Pa., was awarded the University Leadership Award.

East Stroudsburg University will hold its 2022 commencement exercise on Saturday, May 7 at 10 a.m. in Eiler-Martin Stadium. Andrea McClanahan, Ph.D, professor of communication will address the graduates. Student speakers, Austin Weitman and Loretta Erdo, will also address their classmates. Susan Dillmuth-Miller, Au.D., University Senate president, will be the grand marshal for the ceremony, which will honor ESU's December 2021 and May 2022 graduates.

Five doctoral degrees will be awarded during at ESU commencement exercises on Saturday, May 7, at 10 a.m. in Eiler-Martin Stadium.
