A total of 1,194 students will receive degrees from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania during three commencement exercises on May 3 and May 4. Graduate students will be honored on Friday, May 3 at 6:45 p.m. and two ceremonies for undergraduate students will be held on Saturday, May 4.

Over 1,200 students received degrees from East Stroudsburg University during three commencement exercises on May 5 and May 6. A total of 1,021 students received degrees from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania at a commencement ceremony on May 8 at Eiler-Martin Stadium. A total of 800 bachelor's degrees, 214 master's degrees and seven doctoral degrees were awarded. Fall 2021 Graduates, whose degrees were conferred in December, were invited to participate in the ceremony.

Andrea McClanahan, Ph.D, professor of communication will address the graduates. Student speakers, Austin Weitman and Loretta Erdo, will also address their classmates. Susan Dillmuth-Miller, Au.D., University Senate president, will be the grand marshal for the ceremony, which will honor ESU's December 2021 and May 2022 graduates.

A total of 775 bachelor's degrees, 203 master's degrees and one doctoral degree will be awarded.

Graduating seniors Abigail Soto and Megan Harding have spent their years at East Stroudsburg University with a desire to lead and serve others. Soto, a history and political science major from Mount Pocono, Pa., was awarded the University Leadership Award for the 2018-19 academic year. Megan Harding, a communication and sciences disorder major from West Pittston, Pa., was awarded the University Service Award.

Bohnenberger, a graduating senior majoring in physics from East Stroudsburg, Pa., was selected from a pool of student speaker candidates to serve as East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania's undergraduate student speaker for the winter commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 15, at 9:45 a.m. in Koehler Fieldhouse. Undergraduate student speaker candidates must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average entering the fall semester; a demonstrated record of service to the university community and a record of citizenship and cooperation; demonstrated evidence of meaningful extra/co-curricular involvement and must be in good academic standing.
