Eleven psychology students at ESU were recently accepted into Psi Chi: The International Honor Society in Psychology.

ESU's department of political science and economics recently inducted 11 students into Iota Chi, ESU's chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha (the National Political Science Honor Society).

Nine psychology students at ESU were recently accepted into Psi Chi: The International Honor Society in Psychology.

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) recognized 344 students who were scheduled to be recognized at this year's Annual Honors Convocation. The event was not held due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Honors Convocation is sponsored by the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties (APSCUF) with support from the ESU Office of the Provost. The 344 students recognized have had great academic achievements at the university. Honor students must have of a minimum quality point average of 3.50 reflecting at least 36 semester hours of work completed at ESU, completion of at least 96 semester hours in their collegiate career by January 1 of the year in which the award is considered and a minimum of two semesters as a full-time student. East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) recognized 362 students who were scheduled to be recognized at this year's Annual Honors Convocation, which was not held due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Six psychology students at East Stroudsburg University were recently inducted into Psi Chi: The International Honor Society in Psychology, during the psychology department's Biannual Research Forum held on April 24 in the Niedbala Auditorium of the Hoeffner and Science Technology Center. Psi Chi holds the distinction of being the largest student psychological organization in the world, having over 700,000 members. Its mission is to promote excellence in scholarship and to advance the science of psychology. The ESU chapter was founded in 1980 and since that time, hundreds of students have become members. Renee Boburka, Ph.D. and Irina Khusid, Ph.D., both associate professors of psychology, are the faculty advisers for this organization.

The East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) chapter of Sigma Phi Omega, the national honor society in gerontology, recently inducted 10 new students into its membership.
